BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Students at Baton Rouge Community College will now be able to ride to and from class for free, all thanks to the Capital Area Transit System.
Starting October 1, 2013, 350 BRCC students will be able to ride a CATS bus to school. They will have unlimited access to all routes.
CATS SEO Bob Maribito says this is a huge advancement for the college as well as the bus system.
"The fact that BRCC is growing leaps and bounds, in addition to adding another campus to be able to connect those in a cost effective manner for students who don’t have transportation, is a great step forward," he said.
If they run out of passes, BRCC will get more from CATS to make sure all students who need the transportation get it.
