CALCASIEU PARISH, LA — On September 25, at approximately 10:45 a.m., a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy observed a truck traveling eastbound on 6th Street in Lake Charles commit a traffic violation and attempted to conduct a stop.
When the deputy activated his unit’s lights and sirens signaling for the driver of the truck to stop, the driver did not comply and continued to flee from him at a high rate of speed.
Moments later, the driver of the truck crashed the truck into a home near the intersection of 6th Avenue and Ryder Avenue and three men, later identified as Raymond D. Stewart, 31, Quintin D. Henry, 27, and Justin T. Henry, 25, jumped out of the truck and fled on foot.
Following a brief foot pursuit, Stewart, Quintin Henry and Justin Henry were apprehended by deputies without incident.
During further investigation, deputies ran the license plate number of the truck through NCIC and discovered the truck had recently been reported stolen.
Stewart, Quintin Henry and Justin Henry were all booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and all charged illegal possession of stolen things over $1,500; and resisting an officer.
Their bonds are still pending.
