BATON ROUGE, La. (NBC33) — Despite a cold front passing over south Louisiana this afternoon, our highs were still able to work their way into the upper-80s/lower-90s today. With lower humidity and calming winds tonight, temperatures will manage to fall into the mid-60s by morning; a comfortable start in the minds of many of our seared, summer memories.
Heading into the weekend, another, more significant front, will approach the state, and gift us with the Fall temperatures you or your neighbors have requested since mid-August. Daytime highs will dip into the mid-80s by Wednesday, with morning lows hanging out in the 60s.
Peaking at the forecast after midweek, south Louisiana temperatures may plummet even further, as some weather models suggest highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s!
