DENHAM SPRINGS, LA — The Pilot Club of Denham Springs will host the “Hoop De Doo Fall Festival” on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Denham Springs on River Road to raise money for several community projects.
A variety of games and activities will be available for toddlers to elementary-age children. Refreshments will also be provided. Admission is $15 per child.

All proceeds from the festival will go to support community events sponsored by the Pilot Club of Denham Springs.
Pilot Club Board Member Terri Borde said each child will be allowed to dress in his or her favorite non-scary costume, play games and make seasonal crafts, and have opportunities to win fun food and prizes through a variety of games and skill events. Other activities include a “Do-It-Yourself” photo booth, face painting, and demonstrations by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and Denham Springs Fire Department.
“The ‘Hoop De Doo Fall Festival’ promises to be a great event for families with younger children,” said Terri Borde, fundraising chairman of the Pilot Club of Denham Springs. “There will be a variety of fun activities for children of every age. It will be a great opportunities for friends to gather and play together, or for siblings who vary in age to have a single place to come for a fun day.”
Borde said the Pilot Club gives monetary support to the Alzheimer Association, Cancer Society, Family Resource Center, Livingston Youth and Family Counseling, McMains Developmental Center, Special Olympics, Latchkey Kids Program, Women Outreaching Women, Mighty Moms, Project Graduation, and Crusade for Kids.
Other programs that the club supports include Wounded Warriors National Program, Assess the Need, Salvation Army, Lions Club, Livingston Parish’s Life Skills Apartment, Denham Springs Anchor Club, and Walker Ball Field for Special Needs Children. The Pilot Club also is the major sponsor of the Kidz Korner Playground, which is designed to accommodate children with special needs, allowing children of all abilities to play together.
