In South Florida a local pastor is accused of committing an unholy act. Felipe Arroyo is charged with four counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor. He is the pastor of the Church of Christ in Davie. Detectives say Arroyo took a 13-year-old girl living in his home with her family to a nearby theater and molested her. He is also accused of molesting his own 21-year-old niece.
Georgia Police say a 51-year-old woman is dead after her daughter set her on fire. Police say 31-year-old Na Yong Pak got into an argument with her mother. During the argument police say the daughter threw gasoline on her and set her on fire. The woman was transported to the local hospital’s burn unit with second and third degree burns. Police charged the daughter with aggravated assault and are expected to add additional charges.
A mom in Detroit calls police on herself for torturing her own kids. 40-year-old Reyna Valentino faces life in prison on charges that she burned her 4-year-old daughter in an oven, used a hot nail to singe her eyelids, and beat her 5-year-old daughter’s leg with a pry bar. Police say Valentino called police to come get her saying quote, “It’s an awful thing that has happened.” The couple has three other kids ages 7, 8, and 8 months. Valentino is currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.
Agents in Florida are showing off what they’re calling a million dollar drug bust. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office released these photos of agents with what they say is $1.2 million worth of marijuana seized in a sting. An undercover agent delivered 1,200 pounds of marijuana in a rented van to the suspects in a restaurant parking lot. Five men from Texas and Florida were arrested for conspiracy to traffic marijuana.
