BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The manager of the Alamo Hotel where alleged serial rapist Van Dixson spent five days and four nights, has spoken out to NBC33.
Though she didn’t want to go on camera, she said that Dixson was very quiet, even ignoring her joke that he needed to smile more. Something she said she tells many of her customers.
She said she didn’t see him speak to any other customers during his stay and he paid cash daily for his stay.
On the last day that Dixson stayed at the Alamo Hotel, she said he came to her husband and asked if he could perform some odd jobs to help pay for the final day of his stay. She explained that they were in need of a maintenance man and decided to allow Dixson to try his hand at it.
She said Dixson spent about an hour working in their parking lot where they were breaking up old asphalt. She said at that point he was arrested by U.S. marshals and taken into custody.
She also insisted that Dixson was never allowed to do maintenance in other guest’s rooms.
