BATON ROUGE, LA — The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality is hosting a free EPA Brownfields Grant Proposal Writing Strategy Workshop on Thursday, Sept. 26. The workshop will be held in the Pensacola Room of DEQ headquarters at 602 N. Fifth Street, Baton Rouge.
The workshop, which will start at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m., will assist communities and their grant writers interested in applying for an EPA Brownfields Assessment or Cleanup grant. It will help participant in detailing
response strategies, using the TAB-EZ online grant writing tool and discuss the grant planning process.
Brownfields are real property that may be contaminated or complicated by the presence or potential presence of hazardous substances, pollutants or contaminants. In order to put these properties back into use, these issues must be addressed.
