CALCASIEU PARISH, LA — A man has been placed behind bars after he threatened a victim that he would distribute nude videos of her, then actually did distribute the aforementioned videos.
On August 24, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a report of harassment.
Deputies wlearned that between August 19 and 24, Noah S. Hinton, 17, sent numerous intimidating and profane text messages to the victim, who is an ex-acquaintance, threatening to distribute nude videos of her if she did not do what he asked.
Authorities spoke with several witnesses who said that they received pornographic videos of the victim that were sent to them via text message and/or email.
Detectives confirmed these videos were recorded by Hinton without the victim’s consent during a video chat from their phones.
An arrest warrant was issued for Hinton, and on September 11, he was found at his home and arrested without incident.
Hinton was charged with three counts of Extortion, Stalking, Defamation and Telephone Harassment.
Judge David Ritchie set his bond at $325,000.
