BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The owner of a Baton Rouge convenient store was arrested after police seized roughly 7,000 grams of synthetic marijuana from his store.
According to the arrest report, the Baton Rouge Police Department has been monitoring the Tiger Express convenient store on Lee Drive for an undisclosed amount of time. They utilized a confidential informant to purchase illegal synthetic marijuana at least 4 times.
On Thursday, Aug. 29, police conducted a search and recovered the synthetic marijuana.
The store’s owner Alireza Hajakbarifini, 59, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Drug. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $35,000.
