LAKE CHARLES, LA (NBC33) — Bond has been set at $500,000 for a man accused of shooting at a vehicle following a night out.
The Lake Charles Police Department reports that the incident occurred at roughly 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1. We’re told the victim’s vehicle had been struck by bullets in the 2300 block of Opelousas Street.
The victims’ told officers that they had encountered the suspect, Joshua Caleb Davis, at a night club earlier that evening. They said there were no issues during the encounter, but they did notice him following their vehicle several hours later.
At some point Davis allegedly pulled out a gun and fired several rounds at the vehicle. No one was injured.
Davis was located and arrested for two counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder. He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.
