BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: A 16-year-old was arrested for the shooting death of Kino Harris, 18. Officials say the incident happened after the two became involved in a brief argument. The juvenile was booked for Second-Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon.
ORIGINAL: An 18-year-old man was shot to death this afternoon and police are currently working to identify a suspect.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the incident happened at roughly 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28 in the 1900 block of Sparta Ave. When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the mid-section.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
