BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The first day of school can be rough for some students, but at LSU, there is always some form of entertainment to make the transition a little easier.
From people jamming out to an boom box to someone using a unicycle to get to class, there was plenty to see for students heading to class today.
"One time in one of my classes during my freshman year, I literally had a group of Teletubbies run through my class," stated student Elizabeth Doise. "That's one of the great things about LSU - it's so diverse and you're going to see so many things."
Even though the first day of classes can be fun, the reality of hitting the books is already setting in for some students.
Bridget Connick says while the semester may be jam-packed, she's keeping a positive outlook on the months ahead.
"It's going to be pretty hard. I have a lot of labs this semester and I don't get out of class until six at night. So I'll be in class kind of all day," stated Connick. “I'm looking forward to one of my psychology classes, because I think it's about the brain and it will kind of awesome."
Of course, many students are getting pumped up for the first football game of the season. The Tigers take on TCU this Saturday in Arlington. Kick-off is set for 8:00 p.m.
