ST. MARTIN PARISH, LA — A man has been charged with the death of a motorcyclist in Breaux Bridge.
On May 19, Jerry Levier, 28, a motorcyclist, was killed in a vehicle crash on Hilda Street in Breaux Bridge. On August 21, 2013, the blood results from the State Police Crime Lab for the driver of the vehicle, Johnny Roberts, were received and showed that Mr. Roberts had multiple prescription drugs along with Marijuana in his system at the time of the crash. Results also showed that Mr. Roberts had a blood alcohol concentration of .08g%.
A Warrant of Arrest was submitted charging Mr. Roberts with the following:
Entering Traffic from a Park Position
Driving under Suspension
DWI 1st Offense
The warrant was approved on 08/22/13 and Mr. Roberts was arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges. At the time of this release, bond had not been set.
