PLAQUEMINE, LA (NBC33) — Today, a WWII vet celebrated a very special birthday.
Felton Henry served in the Army during WWII, and has a kind word for everyone who crosses his path.
Today, Henry turned 100 years old.
Along with his birthday gifts, he got recognition from Governor Bobby Jindal and a special visit from volunteers with the WWII Museum in New Orleans.
When we asked him his secret to a long, happy life, he gave us a hint.
"Trust in the lord. I'm happy with all my people around me. I enjoy it. I'm going to make it,” stated Henry.
Apparently, staying active really has helped! Henry tells us he rode his bike every day, until he was 96 years old.
