BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Flash flooding and crashes made a mess of the roads around Baton Rouge on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
I-10 westbound before the Mississippi River Bridge was blocked for a couple hours due to a jack knifed 18-wheeler. It reopened shortly after 2:30 p.m.

The majority of the flooding we’re seeing is on Bluebonnet and on Coursey. If you approach high water, it is best to avoid driving through it if possible. Also, reduce your speed as low as possible.
