LESTWORTH, LA (NBC33) — Today is Herbert Carter, Sr. day in Pointe Coupee Parish!
When Carter turner 100 back in 2010 the parish decided to honor the life-long Louisiana resident every year on his birthday.
This father of nine lives a life considered more active than someone much younger than he. Traveling, playing bingo and attending church are just a few of the ways he keeps busy. The rest of his time is spent with family, which includes thirty-six grandchildren, twenty-nine grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Carter is a resident of Lesttworth, and if you’re keeping up with the math, he’s 103-years-old today!
Carter’s granddaughter Beatrice Greenhouse told us they celebrated his birthday early this year with a visit to Paragon.
NBC33 would like to wish Mr. Carter a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
