BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Southern University Freshman are all set to move into their new home away from home at the university of Sunday. As the incoming Freshman class gets set to start their college career, they’ll be met by Chancellor James Lloren and his wife, a former Jaguar herself.
In a message to Jaguar nation on Facebook, Chancellor James Lloren said, “The First Lady, SU class of ’72, and I will be welcoming freshman students moving in the dormitories on Sunday morning. This will be our third year doing so and it’s always energizing to meet the students and parents as they begin their life as a Jaguar.”
This year’s incoming class is expected to be larger than last year’s, the upcoming week will be Welcome Week for all incoming students. Faculty and Staff will also be on hand to help answer questions for the new students.
Classes start for students on August 19.
