LOUISIANA (NBC33) — BP was ordered to pay more money today for its involvement in the 2010 Gulf oil spill disaster.
The oil giant was ordered to pay more than $130 million in fees to the court-supervised administrator of its multibillion-dollar settlement with Gulf Coast businesses and residents.
The money will cover the claim's office entire third-quarter budget.
BP has requested a rundown of how that money will be spent and has complained about the court-appointed claims administrator before.
On August 5, BP once again made a request to temporarily block any incoming claims.
