LAKE CHARLES, LA (NBC33) — A Lake Charles woman is being held on a $650,000 bond for charges related to the alleged abduction of a 14-year-old girl. Over the course of a week, the victim claims the 30-year-old woman violently abused her, encouraged her to use cocaine and methamphetamine, and sexually molested her.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that it all started on July 12, 2013. The teen was reportedly staying at a family member’s house and willingly left with Lacey C. Dronet. The victim claims that Dronet then held her captive for seven days and forced her to engage in illegal activities.
The victim told deputies that Dronet encouraged her to use drugs and allegedly made inappropriate sexual contact with her. She claims she complied because Dronet physically assaulted her.
Dronet allegedly punched the teen in the face, bit her on the face, choked her, and slapped her on the legs several times. Investigators noted physical marks that coincide with the allegations of abuse. The teen also claims that Dronet held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.
Another individual close to Dronet learned that the Sheriff’s Office was searching for the teen, so that person returned the juvenile to her home.
On Friday, August 2, Dronet was arrested and charged with Second-Degree Kidnapping, Molestation of a Juvenile, four counts of Cruelty to a Juvenile, and Distribution of Drugs to Persons Under Age 18. She was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.
