BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — State Treasurer John Kennedy might be the next person to throw his name in the race for governor.
Kennedy told the Baton Rouge Press Club today that he's seriously considering it.
He said that whoever the next governor is, that person should make Louisiana their priority, instead of focusing on national issues.
State representative John Bel Edwards and Lieutenant General Russel Honore have already announced their intentions to run for governor in the next election.
Governor Bobby Jindal's term ends in 2015. He has reached his term limit for the office of governor; therefore, there will be a new governor elected in the next election.
