BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The Red Cross has released a new app that can help if Dorian or any other disaster hits.
It's called the Team Red Cross app. Its goal is to enable you to volunteer more easily should disaster strike.
From helping in a warehouse to donating money to helping in a shelter, it's all there at your fingertips. A Red Cross spokesperson tells us this is the perfect way to get more people involved and helping those who really need it.
When they see the Red Cross responding when there's a disaster out there, people want to help, especially if they haven't been personally affected,” stated Nancy Malone with the Red Cross. “This is a way for them to get out and help those most affected by the disaster.”
