NATIONAL NEWS (CNN) — The number of kids being hurt by falling televisions is on the rise, according to a new study published in the Journal of Pediatrics.
Researchers looked at emergency department data from 1990 and 2011. They found that more than 12,000 children were hurt by falling TV's in 2011, which is up 126 percent from 1990.
The study found that most of the children who went to the hospital with TV related injuries were under the age of five. Researchers say anchoring your TV can prevent it from falling on your child.
