BOSSIER CITY, LA (KMSS) — The Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force has secured criminal arrest warrants for a woman accused of selling bogus silver bars to a local business.
Monique Marie Reyna, of Corpus Christi, Texas, is facing charges of felony theft by fraud and forgery for selling more than 500 bogus silver bars last month to a local business for nearly $6,500.
Detectives were able to identify Reyna from evidence found in an investigation and are in contact with Texas authorities in an effort to locate her.
The task force is also continuing to locate a suspect in a similar case, this one involving the sale of counterfeit gold bars. That incident occurred earlier this month when a male subject sold three bogus 12 ounce gold bars to a Bossier city business for $4,000.
The suspect was caught on a security camera at the victim's business.
Anyone with any information on either suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100.
