BAYOU L'OURSE, LA — An Assumption Parish man is behind bars after innapropriately touching a minor.
On June 29, a father of a 15-year-old female filed a complaint after his daughter had been sexually assaulted by a man named “Ace”.
Upon investigation, it was learned that the 15-year-old who was supposed to spend the night at friend’s house but ending up spending the night at the suspect’s residence in Bayou L’Ourse. The victim was awoken by the suspect who was improperly touching her in a sexual manner.
The suspect, Gary Jean Foret (aka Ace), 56, was taken into custody on July 2 and charged with Indecent Behavior with Juvenile (Felony).
He was taken to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he was booked. His bond has not been set as of the time of this news release.
It should be noted that Foret who is currently on parole was convicted of 2nd Degree Murder in 1975 in Jefferson Parish and was sentenced to life in prison. Later his sentence was commuted to 60 years and he served roughly one-third of that sentence before being released.
This is an on-going investigation.
