NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The second week of testimony in the George Zimmerman trial began today with the jury, for the first time, hearing and seeing George Zimmerman at the scene of the fatal shooting.
In a video-taped narrative recorded by police the day after the confrontation, Zimmerman literally walked investigators through his version of what happened that night.
On the recording, the former neighborhood watch volunteer tells police he shot the Trayvon Martin in self-defense.
The prosecution also entering as evidence, an audio recording from that night and written statement also from Zimmerman.
Zimmerman is accused of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Martin in February 2012.
Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty and contends he acted in self-defense after he was attacked.
