TAMPA, FL (NBC) — A Tampa man is accused of killing the family dog and cooking it for food.
Police arrested Thomas Huggins, 25, Thursday, June 27. They say, he strangled a six month old pitbull mix puppy, named Tiger. They say, he then skinned and quartered the dog and froze some parts.
He told police he cooked the ribs and ate some of them.
Authorities charged Huggins with Cruelty to Animals and set his bail at $2,000.
Animal Control took the remains of the dog.
