BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A woman turned herself in for causing a fatal crash and fleeing the scene.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that Latisha Gant, 39, turned herself in for the hit-and-run crash that resulted in the death of a 52-year-old homeless man.
The incident happened at roughly 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20 . Information about the crash was released to the media. Gant turned herself in shortly after the information became public.
Gant is charged with one count of felony Hit-and-Run. She was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Police have not been successful in locating a family member of the victim.
