Baker, La (NBC33) — It's the first day some people are being allowed back in their homes since last Friday's plane crash in Baker.
Residents in the neighborhood where the plane went down are spending their days cleaning up. They're working with insurance adjusters and contractors to get things back to normal.
One woman whose home was damaged says even though everything's going to be okay, there are some things you can't get back.
"(I lost) a ring that my great-aunt had that's sentimental to me,” stated resident Talona Wright. “I can't even put a price on that. It's extremely emotional - I mean, you can't even imagine."
Wright says her family will stay in temporary housing until her home gets rebuilt.
