BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — LSU baseball fans are gearing up for the trip to Omaha this weekend. They're booking flights, rooms, and putting together budgets for food and tickets.
For Chris Guillot, he said no matter the cost, he will be at the games.
"It's called priceless. If it cost you a grand, so what!" Guillot exclaimed. "Put your sign up there, send money mama even if you gotta say send money grandma. So it is worth every penny."
Guillot said he has been to more than 20 world series games, and he has been preparing for this year's trip since the start of the season.
"I go no matter what, but this year, it felt so good. I go to every game, away and home," Guillot said."The excitement and the electricity is unreal cause of LSU fans. Am I a huge fan? LSU fans are huge fans."
Melanie Williams, owner of Gulf South Travel, said it may be a bit pricey if you haven't already made travel arrangements.
"Fair was running around 530 dollars or so for fights out of Baton Rouge," Williams said. "However, we have been seeing that the fairs are jumping up quite rapidly due to the availability for people trying to get over to Omaha as quickly as they can."
Williams said if you are still looking for a flight, you should act soon.
"It's very slim pickings so please make your way to those websites and also you can contact LSU they also have availability for seats as well," Williams said.
However, both Williams and Guillot said no matter the price, it's worth it.
"It may be a bit on the pricier side, but it's so worth it to see our team go and win the World Series," Williams said.
"They do a great job. There's nothing like LSU fans. I can't wait to get to Omaha," Guillot said.
