Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Teachers in East Baton Rouge went back to school to learn how to play chess.
The Foundation for the East Baton Rouge School System set up two sessions with a chess master.
When the teachers finish learning techniques and tactics, they'll be fully prepared to start a chess club.
The idea is to help get students to boost their math and science skills while having fun.
The teachers will go head-to-head on thursday for a final chess tournament to show off their skills.
