Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — NBC33 caught up with Mayor Kip Holden today to ask about his recent announcement that he may run for lieutenant governor in 2015.
Holden said he sees that he has a future in Louisiana politics, stating that the position of lieutenant governor is very similar to what he does now as mayor, but on a much larger scale.
Holden, who has reached his term limit as mayor-president, said that resident in the city-parish have asked him to think about running for lieutenant governor.
He says the reason he's only 80 percent positive he will run is because he wants to make sure he can raise enough money for a successful campaign.
