BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The last day of the 2013 legislative session will be dedicated to ironing out the last details of next year’s budget.
Governor Bobby Jindal announced Wednesday night that Representatives and Senators had come to a tentative agreement on the terms of House Bill One, the $25 billion budget.
Lawmakers have until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 to put forth a final budget and agree to it. The Governor told us Wednesday that he approves of the tentative plan and would not look to veto it.
