NEW ORLEANS, LA (NBC33) — The New Orleans Saints continued their offseason workouts in Metairie.
Not only do they have a new defensive coordinator with Rob Ryan, but the Black and Gold have switched to a completely new format after the Saints finished with the worst defense in yards allowed last year.
The plan for the Saints is to not only improve their defense, but to also help prepare Drew Brees and the offense for the coming season.
"You are seeing a lot of different things that we are trying to begin to install,” stated Saints head coach Sean Payton. “The key to the offense is to settle in and know how to handle the different looks you are getting – I think that is good, especially now."
The Saints continue mini-camp Wednesday and Thursday. The practices are open to the public starting at 10:15 a.m.
