BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Miya Edwards with the green team writes:
I find it interesting that each day is less of a struggle because I have a routine and I plan my meals ahead of time. Also, I like to do something each day because I have more energy no matter how small the activity. I learn more each day about myself and I am happy that I can do more than I thought.

Getting nervous about weigh in. I'm happy with my progress so far. I'm doing things I couldn't do a month ago. Just hope the loss I'm seeing is going be enough to keep me from being eliminated. I don't want to lose my trainer. It's been a great experience for me. I enjoy my workouts with Joey and the conversations we have as well.
Michelle Lewis with the purple team writes:
Wow! I can't believe this is the fourth blog I've submitted! Where does the time go? First of all, I'd like to take the time out to thank all of my friends, family, co-workers, students, associates, and everyone else who voted for me in the first social media vote! Coming in third place wasn't bad at all, and now that I know what to expect, I know I'll do much better next time!
Speaking of next time, it's almost time for the first elimination! I must admit, I do not want to be the first contestant eliminated. I hope I have worked hard enough to stay in the race. Since working with my personal trainer, my eating habits have totally changed, I have more energy, and I can see a noticeable difference in my shape when I put on clothes!
Keep your fingers crossed for me Louisiana and don't forget the motto: "Turn down for what!" By the end of this competition I'm determined to have my "Ashanti" or "Toya Carter-Wright" figure that I've been dreaming of. I'm never going back to the excessive fried foods, cold drinks, or sweets like in the past!
Jermarr Williams with the yellow team writes:
Over the past weeks I've felt and saw changes. My body is changing slowly and I'm excited. Training sessions are become more intense and my eating habits are changing. I'm enjoying this journey. I look forward to the weigh in this week!
Nicholas Yiannopoulos with the blue team writes:
I had an interesting week, My Trainer Justin introduced me to some new exercises that are challenging to say the least! I am still getting sore however not nearly as much as the first several weeks brought. After each work out, the following day I would be in pain in a certain area of my body, I am hoping by now we have covered most muscle parts? Yesterday being Memorial Day and having my daughter Caroline for the long week-end I had every intention of going to Bally's for my Cardio day, I did not make it, and I feel guilty! I did swim for most of the day and did far more cardio in the pool as I would have at Bally's on the Tread Mill. Thus, I am eager to get a good work out in this evening!
Kris Cusanza with the red team writes:
This week I finally saw the weight go down. While it pains me to admit it Lake Johnson was right. She told me that if I kept eating small meals throughout the day I would drop pounds. Now I'm feeling confident going into weigh in that I did everything I could to stay in the competition. It was hard diet wise this week, because I had family in town. I chose not to cheat and try to enjoy salad without salad dressing. I finally bought my wedding dress. It was a size smaller than I had originally thought I would have had to buy. I'm so excited to see how it will look once I've lost all the weight. I'm going to walk down the aisle looking slim!
