BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Nearly 70,000 people attended the 2013 Bayou Country Superfest in Baton Rouge. Officials report that festival-goers traveled from across the globe to attend the event.
“Fans came from 46 states to join the party, and some journeyed from as far away as Puerto Rico, Canada and Scotland,” a press release noted. “As always, the sprawling, fun-filled Tailgating Party surrounding Tiger Stadium helped set the vibe for the entire weekend.”
The day before the festival kicked off, officials announced that the event has been confirmed to continue in 2014.
“This year we are celebrating two festivals at the same time: this year’s and next year’s,” Quint Davis, producer/director, said. “Bayou Country Superfest is now the annual event we’ve all worked so hard to make it become.
