PLAQUEMINES PARISH, LA — A Northshore resident has been booked on after chatting online with a juvenile and proceeding to have sex with her.
On Monday, May 20 at around 11:50 p.m., patrol deputies with Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office encountered a suspicious vehicle parked behind a business in the 2200 block of Engineers Road in Belle Chasse.
Deputies learned that a 14-year-old Belle Chasse female juvenile and John Arceneaux, 19, were in the vehicle. Based upon preliminary findings, it was believed that the two may have had sex while in the vehicle. The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau was contacted and responded to the scene.
Detectives learned that Arceneaux and the juvenile met over a chat line three weeks prior. On Sunday, May 19, the juvenile met Arceneaux, and they had sexual intercourse. Shortly thereafter, Arceneaux drove the juvenile home.
The following day, May 20, Arceneaux and the juvenile communicated with each other again via the chat line, during which time Arceneaux made arrangements to meet the juvenile later that day and told her he missed her and wanted to see her again.
Arceneaux again met the juvenile and were having sexual intercourse in Arceneaux’s vehicle when they were interrupted by the sheriff’s deputies.
During questioning, Arceneaux admitted to meeting the victim on a chat line and engaging in sexual intercourse with the juvenile victim on two separate occasions while in Belle Chasse.
Arceneaux was subsequently charged with two counts of Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.
