BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — BREC’s Liberty Lagoon Waterpark is opening its doors today for the hot summer days ahead. Two additional BREC pools will open this weekend.
The park, located at 111 Lobdell Ave., will remain open all week until August 4, 2013. After that, it will only remain open on the weekend through September 2.
Admission to Liberty Lagoon is free for ages 2 and younger, $8 for anyone who is less than 48" tall and $10 for those 48" tall and above. Liberty Lagoon will open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.
BREC has four additional pools in East Baton Rouge Parish. Two of those will open on Saturday, May 25. They include the Howell Community Park and City-Brooks Community Park. Both pools will be open from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. daily with an admission of $1.25 per person.
The Gus Young Park will not open due to a leak in the pool that poses a safety and health hazard. The Anna T. Jordan Community Park is also undergoing renovations. It will not open reopen until 2014.
