Alabama (NBC33) — Remember the BCS Championship trophy that Alabama shattered to pieces after winning the title game against LSU in 2011? Someone paid a pretty penny for the pieces of that famed crystal football.
The bowl of crystal shards that once were the BCS Championship trophy sold for more than $100,000 at a celebrity golf tournament in Alabama.
Interestingly enough, the trophy was originally valued at $30,000 before it was dropped by one of the player's fathers.
