Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Medicaid expansion supporters continue to flood the Capitol, despite Governor Bobby Jindal saying he won't support any kind of expansion.
Two Medicaid expansion bills are still alive and going through the legislative process.
Advocates for the expansion believe if they keep up the momentum, the governor might change his mind.
"Governors can make declarations and statements, but with a groundswell of support across the state, those governors have turned in a different direction," stated expansion advocate Mariba Karamoko.
Expansion supporters have been coming to the steps of the Capitol all session.
Those expansion bills are expected to be debated next week.
