BATON ROUGE, LA — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation in which a man is believed to have ingested narcotics during the execution of a BRPD search warrant.
According to Baton Rouge Police reports, BRPD narcotics detectives went to 6349 Flag St. at approximately 4:45 p.m. to execute a search warrant. BRPD reports that detectives noticed the suspect was in distress and called for EMS.
The reported suspect, Dontrunner Robinson, 32, was transported and later pronounced dead.
BRPD reports that it is believed the suspect swallowed suspected crack cocaine.
EBRSO detectives were contacted in reference to the death and will follow up with a death investigation.
No foul play is suspected and detectives are awaiting autopsy findings.
