NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A 91-year-old decorated World War II combat veteran facing eviction will get to stay in his home a bit longer.
The elderly man's lawyer said John Potter's daughter and son-in-law used a power of attorney to sign Potter's Vinton County home into their name, and a court ruled in their favor.
An eviction hearing set for this week has been pushed back to June 12, meaning that Potter will remain in his home for now.
