Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — All the rain, combined with flooding in the northern part of the country is causing concern for the Army Corps of Engineers and local residents.
The corps has decided to start inspecting the levees in Baton Rouge and other parts of southern Louisiana twice a week.
River levels are on the rise; according to the National Weather Service, the river will be at 34.5 feet in a few weeks before it starts to fall.
The flood stage is at 35 feet, which makes the upcoming water levels dangerous.
