BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Despite off-field trouble, former LSU cornerback Tharold Simon was drafted as the 138th player taken overall.
The Seattle Seahawks drafted Simon with the fifth pick of the fifth round.
A draft party was to be hosted in his hometown of Eunice, La on Friday, April 26. However, that event was canceled  after Simon was arrested the night before on a charge of public intimidation.
Simon declared for the draft after his junior year at LSU.
