BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Improvements are on the way to a stretch of road in East Baton Rouge Parish, according to DOTD.
Greenwell Springs Road from Sullivan to LA-409 will see improvements worth more than $20 million. We're told the work could start soon.
“We’ll we have two projects as a result of this road safety assessment and once the projects are completed, people will find the roadways to be a safer more efficient roadway to drive,” Lauren Lee, a representative with DOTD, said.
Here's a look at the list of improvements being made to that stretch of road.
- Centerlane rumble strips
- A four lane Magnolia River Bridge
- New turn lanes
Work on the additions is expected to be complete by the end of the summer.
