Louisiana — A Sarpeta man has died from injuries after crashing his motorcycle and hitting another vehicle.
On April 15 at around 10:15 p.m., State Troopers responded to a crash on U.S. Highway 371 at Louisiana Highway 2, which is located in Webster Parish.
NBC33 has been told that a 2006 Toyota Corolla, driven by a juvenile, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersecting highways. The Toyota then turned directly into the path of Rodney Johnson, 48, who was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
While the juvenile attempted to avoid the crash by steering left, Johnson hit his breaks, lost control of the Harley and was ejected. Both the motorcycle and Johnson struck the Toyota.
Johnson was brought to Springhill Hospital, where he passed away. The juvenile has on his seatbelt and had no injuries.
No alcohol use is suspected.
The juvenile was cited with Failure to Yield, and the crash remains under investigation.
