HOUMA, LA — A Houma woman has been arrested after attacking her boyfriend with a knife.
Shortly after 7:00 a.m. today, Houma Police responded to a home in the 1100 block of Dewey Street. When officers arrived, officers saw a man and a woman involved in a physical altercation where it appeared that the victim was attempting to disarm a knife from the woman. The man to be covered in blood.
Officers ordered the female to drop the knife, which she later complied after several demands to do so. She was immediately taken into custody and identified as Caulette Rollins, 46,
The victim suffered several stab wounds to his back, as well as one near his throat. He was immediately taken to a local medical facility to be treated for his injuries.
As the investigation continued, officers learned that the victim, a 53-year-old male, and Rollins were involved in a relationship, but on the verge of separating. Rollins found the victim at a relative’s residence where the attack began.
Rollins was charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
