New Orleans, La (NBC33) — Four workers were injured this morning after a house collapsed when they were attempting to raise it, according to WDSU.
We’re told the workers were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries, which include broken bones for at least two of the individuals.
The incident happened shortly before noon on Wednesday, April 10. The workers were in the process of raising a home located in Treme when it fell. Firefighters were called to the scene to determine if anyone was trapped inside. They were able to quickly determine that no one was beneath the structure.
The incident has been reported to the city’s Department of Code Enforcement.
