BATON ROUGE — LSU star basketball player Johnny O’Bryant III announced Tuesday that he will return to college for his junior year instead of pursuing a professional career.
O’Bryant led the Tigers in scoring in 2012-13. He averaged over 13 points a game. The Mississippi native finished second in the SEC with 15 double doubles.
“Me and my family thought it was a better decision if I stay,” O’Bryant said at a press conference on LSU’s campus. “I want to be a leader and I want to improve on my conditioning,” he said when asked what he wanted to improve upon most.
