HAMMOND, LA (WDSU-CNN) — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hammond man who made a rather unfortunate decision.
Police say Michael Kennedy arrived at the sheriff’s office April 4 to make a report on a case.
The problem: He had outstanding warrants on unrelated cases.
While making his statement, Detective Mike Moore recognized him as a wanted suspect in an ongoing investigation. He was subsequently taken into custody on charges of criminal damage to property, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and simple assault.
Kennedy was released April 5 on a $13,000 property bond.
