BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A court appearance has been postponed again for a Baton Rouge man police say was drunk when he crashed his car into two local cyclists, killing one of them.
Joseph Branch was scheduled for a motions hearing today at the 19th JDC, but was rescheduled for July. Investigators with the Baton Rouge Police Department say Branch had a blood alcohol level of four times the legal limit when he hit and killed Nathan Crowson on Perkins Road January 21, 2012. It was Branch's second DWI.
Crowson died at the scene. Danny Morris was critically injured, and still has trouble walking.
